General questions about Livelo

  • Livelo is for everyone, families, singles, young, elderly, short (approx. 140 cm) and tall (approx. 200 cm with the long seat post accessory). Even people with minor physical impairments can enjoy a Livelo as the two front wheels provide balance and the electric motor provides power. No matter who you are, you should be able to benefit from and enjoy the bike and find a riding position that suits you. If you are very tall, we can offer an extended seat post and if you want a slightly more upright sitting position, we also have an adjustable stem.

  • It is built to withstand the Swedish climate. In general, it can be said that a bicycle that is stored indoors or under weather protection will have a longer lifespan than a bicycle that is left outside completely unprotected all year round. Of course, you should make sure to maintain the bicycle, i.e. clean it regularly and preferably service it at least once a year so that all moving parts and the chain are greased and oiled.

  • Most Livelo owners park on the street. There are a number of simple steps you can take to avoid it being stolen.

Lock the bike with two locks of the highest security class, one of which is a chain lock that you also attach to a fixed object (bike stand/post). Be sure to thread the locks through the bike frame and rear wheel. DO NOT use the bike's crash bars, front wheel or seat post to lock in as these are fairly easy to dismantle.

ALWAYS remove the battery when parking at night. When parking outside work, preschool, shops, etc. during the day, make sure that the battery lock is locked. We only sell batteries and chargers to customers who can show a receipt with the frame number. The “professional thieves” will soon realize this and understand that a stolen Livelo without a battery and charger is difficult to sell as vital parts such as the battery and charger cannot be bought for free.

Please park where it is well lit and where people are moving, even at night, if possible.

You can purchase this excess insurance from Solid via Livelo . The first 3 months are free and then 249 SEK/year. More about the insurance here.

  • If the child can sit up on their own (about 1 year), Livelo's built-in seat and belts work well. A pillow or folded blanket can be good to sit on so that the child can stand up a little and fill out the seat belt.

If the child is smaller (6-12 months), a car seat can be used, but it is very important that the seat is firmly anchored in the basket without the risk of it moving or falling out in the event of a collision/accident. Of course, the child should be strapped into the seat.

Children under 6 months can also ride in a child seat, but then we recommend that you ride very slowly and carefully. Such small children do not like the shocks and vibrations that can occur at higher speeds.

  • Of course you can, many people have their dogs in the basket. Please use a harness for your dog and attach the leash to the roll bar next to the handlebars so that the dog cannot jump out while riding under any circumstances. Please put a blanket or cushion in the bottom so your dog is comfortable.

  • It works great. There are a variety of different manufacturers of both luggage racks and children's saddles that fit well on the Livelon. The area on the seat tube in the triangle and the two upper chainstays are good attachment points. However, remember not to overload the rear part (max. 15 kg). Ex: Thule Tour Rack and Qibbel rear seat .

  • If you feel the need for studded winter tires, they work great. A tip: start with the rear wheel, often that's enough.

  • You can drop off your bike at any bike repair shop you want for normal service regarding lubrication, gears, brakes, etc. If you encounter any problems with the electronics, please contact us.

  • No, the bike is delivered fully assembled including pedals.

  • We recommend 3.5-4.0 bar. This is usually stated on the sidewall of the tire. Check the air pressure regularly. Well-inflated tires reduce the risk of punctures and increase comfort and road holding.

  • When buying a used Livelo, make sure you have a copy of the original receipt and register the frame number with personal information at Livelo Bikes.

A clear proof of ownership is always needed when servicing and purchasing spare parts.
