From balance problems to freedom: how a three-wheeled electric cargo bike changed everyday life

A film showing a “city run” through a grocery store in the Netherlands, filmed by Ely on his Livelo.

At first glance, it's a funny and unexpected moment.
But behind it there's something more.

After losing his ability to balance, a traditional two-wheeled bicycle was no longer an option. Mobility became a challenge in everyday life.

With its three-wheeled design and focus on stability, Livelo made it possible to ride his bike again, safely and securely, year-round. Once again, he can ride his bike and continue doing what he loves: filming, creating, and transporting his equipment, from cameras and tripods to drones, with ease.

“For the past 1.5 years I have been cycling with a Livelo and I really enjoy it. After one of my balance organs stopped working, it became difficult to cycle on a regular bike. Livelo was a good solution and also an unexpected advantage. I film a lot and often need to carry several cameras, tripods and sometimes even a drone. Everything fits in my Livelo.”

This is a reminder that stability is not just about comfort, it is about freedom, accessibility, and independence in everyday life.
